Hello, this is Allen from Hong Kong. This video was shot by Wingo and Ka Ho, before that we were having dinner and chatting about how to manually set the aperture, ISO speed and shutter in video mode for the Canon 5D Mark II camera, as we can’t find a solid information from the Instruction Manual, we were thinking there should be another way do it, after the dinner and before we seperate, we found a solution and hope to share with all of you and please comment freely.

My mother language is Cantonese, so I just shot the video in Cantonese, I am writing a brief step-by-step in the following, please let me know if an English version is needed and please correct me if I am wrong, thank you and happy shootings!

Specifications
- Aperture: Any
- ISO: 100 - 3200, except 250
- Shutter Speed: 1/50s (Only)

1. Setting Up
A. Turn your camera to Av mode
B. Menu ___ Live View/Movie func. set ___ LV func. setting ___ Stills+movie ___ Stills display

2. For setting Aperture
- Either use a manual lens or use Twist-the-lens method

3. For setting ISO
- Turn on Live View, then press the ISO button (on top of the camera) and select the ISO

4. For setting Shutter Speed
- Half-press the Shutter button and then point your camera to a light source until the shutter speed is 1/50s
- Lock the exposure by pressing “*” button

5. Recording
- Close the lens cap and press the “Set” button for 3 seconds before removing the lens cap

Repeat ONLY step 4 to 5 for multiple takes.

Note:
I. Exposure value can be checked while recording by half-pressing the shutter button.
II. Pressing the “*” button while recording will alter the exposure value.
III. The shutter speed can be fine tuned after the AE is locked by using the Quick Control Dial
IV. The firmware version for this video is 1.0.7
